RELEASE INFORMATION:
– Tobacco card premium.
– Cards measure 1 5/8″ x 2 9/16″.
– 50 card set released by Ogden’s Cigarettes, a branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co. (of Great Britain & Ireland), LTD. Set is a combination of pugilists (boxers) and wrestlers. Cards were released as “stiffeners” in packs of Ogden’s Cigarettes.
– The front of the card shows an artist drawn representation of each pugilists or wrestlers, while the back of the card is numbered and contains bio information written in English.
– Variations in back colors may exist. There appears to be a white back coloring and a cream color backing, especially with cards #26-50. Verification of these being different print runs is unknown.
